I been in education for over 30 years. I spent 23 years working in Zion School District 6 as a teacher. This is my eleventh year in Gurnee School District 56 as an Assistant Principal. I truly enjoy working with children and believe that all children can make good decisions. It is my job to help guide them into making these decisions. I continually look for ways to improve myself so that I may be a positive influence at Prairie Trail School.
I received a B. S. in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University in 1984. I have a M.A. in Elementary Education from Carthage College (1990) and a M.A. in Administration from National Louis University (2007). I was recently honored to be named the Illinois Assistant Principal of the Year for 2014-2015
I am married to my best friend, and we are proud to have a son and a daughter.
